Winter arrives, but when will it leave?

The big freeze has hit us once again, and no surprise the council are failing for the second winter running. The worst hit area's of the snow are Scotland and North East England. But finally Luton got their wellies out for a few inches. But will we be getting anymore or is the weathermen just getting our hopes up.

Many parts of the UK are still under inches of snow,But when is it all going to disappear?
Day 8 of the big freeze and still parts of the UK are still knee high in the stuff, but can England really take any more snow.BBC weather forecaster's have stated that no more snow is predicted in South East England but North East and Scotland are likely to be hit once more by the big freeze.

"In Buckinghamshire, 218 schools were shut and in Hertfordshire about 181. The council said their decisions often depended on whether enough teachers were able to get to the school to ensure pupil safety."       http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7865338.stm

Many school children over the country have had a fun packed week with the majority of schools closed due to extreme weather conditions but as a new week approaches how many kids will be sitting at their windows wishing for some more snow.

From my school days, when even a few centimeters of snow fell on the ground, the norm was to sit and listen to the radio hoping that your school would be closed for the day,but this is not the case anymore with the increasing amounts of ways of checking closures of work places or schools. From keeping to the norm of listening to the radio to the new found craze of Web 2.0,Checking closures

So,will we have a white christmas after all?
